Hygenix Inc. employs a full-time staff of environmental scientists, industrial hygienists and geotechnical specialists. The field operations of our staff are supported by a laboratory accredited by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. To conduct on-site testing, the staff is equipped with an impressive array of electronic analyzers to detect asbestos, lead-containing paint, radon and various other contaminants in buildings and underground.
Robert C. Brown, CIH, President
Mr. Brown is president and an original founder of Hygenix Inc. Serving as Director of Industrial Hygiene, Mr. Brown oversees the firm's staff that deals with aboveground hazards in buildings. Mr. Brown holds degrees in medical laboratory science and environmental health from Northeastern and Tulane University, with his postgraduate studies completed at Columbia University. With more than 30 years of experience in clinical and environmental laboratory administration, public health and environmental consulting, Mr. Brown is recognized as a regional authority on the management of asbestos, lead, PCBs and other building-related hazards. In addition to holding many substance-specific credentials, Mr. Brown is licensed as a CIH in comprehensive practice by the American Board of Industrial Hygienists.
Arthur B. Morris, LEP, Secretary/Treasurer
Mr. Morris is the corporate secretary and a founder of Hygenix Inc. As Director of Geotechnical and Environmental Hazards, Mr. Morris directs the firm's programs that address underground hazards. Included in Mr. Morris' domain are the Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, underground tank testing and evaluation of other subsurface contaminants. Mr. Morris has more than 30 years of experience in public health, laboratory management and environmental consulting. He is one of a limited number of Licensed Environmental Professionals in Connecticut, a program administered by the Department of Environmental Protection, delegating responsibility for evaluation and planning of soil remediation projects.
